What is your BAS?

A BAS or Business Activity Statement is a government form that businesses are required to lodge if they are registered for GST. Most businesses need to lodge these activity statements every month, quarter or year depending on factors such as the size of the business.

A BAS is a legal requirement for businesses registered for GST; however, they are also helpful in keeping track of your business finances. Your statements will help you pay your Goods and Service Tax, PAYG and other taxes that you may be liable to pay.

Ways to lodge your BAS

There are a few different ways that you can choose to lodge your BAS. Most people today choose to complete their activity statements online; however, you can opt to fill out your form and send it via mail.

Once you have determined how to lodge your statement, you must prepare to complete your form. For this we must do the following:
